Citrus Lentil Sprouts

by Namar

This is a simple snack recipe that is very high in energy but zero in fat. What you need is a lemon/lime, green whole lentil seeds, a muslin cloth, a mixing bowl and a salad tossing spoon.

First, take a handful of the green lentils (pronounced sabut hari moong in Hindi), and wrap them in a moist musin cloth. Leave them for two to three days until you see them sprout. Take a lemon/lime and squeeze as required. Then use your bowl and spoon to mix it well and gorge on it. This is one of my favourite snack and being a personal trainer I have to lead by example. This recipe is a lovable combo of health, nutrition and non-fat.
