Healthy Banana Bread Recipe
Talk about a wonderful, fresh aroma. This vegan banana bread leaves an amazing scent of bananas floating through your house, it's a perfect air freshener!
There's no need for unnatural ingredients like milk or eggs (we are natural herbivores) for this tasty healthy banana bread recipe, just pure plant love! For all my baking goods I use whole wheat flour instead of white because it hasn't had all the nutrients or flavor bleached out of it! That doesn't even sound appealing... Big deal if it doesn't rise as much!
Items needed for preparation:
- 2 mixing bowls
- Bread pan
- Flour sifter
- 3-4 bananas, overripe
- 1/2 cup oil (coconut is best)
- 1/4 cup appelsauce
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup white cane sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Step 1: Preheat your over to 375, and grease bread pan with oil.
Step 2: Mush bananas in a big mixing bowl with a whisk until completely gooey. Mix in applesauce, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda over your mixture and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 3: Sift flour into a separate bowl. For wheat flour, sift it about 2-3 times so the dough will rise more.
Step 4: Mix the flour into the wet ingredients and add walnuts. Pour your banana medley into the bread pan and place in the oven. Yipee! Now you wait for 40 min or until a knife, when inserted in the middle, comes out spotless. May your taste buds be full of bliss with such a yummy healthy banana bread recipe!
