Namekeen Oats

by Charlene

Take 1 large cup of oats in a pot. Now add 2 and a half cups of water to it. Place it on a gas stove on medium flame. Now add a pinch of black pepper and salt to taste. Let it cook for some time and keep stirring. Remove when it appears like a paste.

Now in a separate pan take a cup of water and let it come to boil. To this add a few green vegetables like brocolli, a very small potato, a small capcicum, a carrot, etc and small spoon of oil. Cover the lid and allow it to cook. Allow the vegetables to get cooked nicely and when it becomes soft add the entire contents to oatmeal preparation. Now add green chili if you like it spicy. You can also use tomato ketchup. Namkeen oatmeal is ready to serve.
