Simple Raw No Bake Oatmeal Cookie Recipe
All the no bake oatmeal cookie recipes that I see out there make my stomach hurt just looking at the ingredients, bleh! When are people going to realize that you don't need unhealthy unnatural ingredients like butter, eggs, and refined sugar to make your food taste good?
Use natural ingredients like raw honey, agave or dates instead of sugar. Use applesauce instead of eggs. These ingredients all contain their natural enzymes and help your body assimilate the food while helping you look and feel young. The whole reason for no bake cookies is that everything is alive and raw, full of life-preserving enzymes.
This healthy no bake oatmeal cookie recipe takes 5 minutes and uses 5 ingredients! Unless you have a dehydrator (I don't), these cookies are so moist you'll get to eat 'em with a spoon. That's why their so fun!
Out of all the food I've made so far, my roommates says this is their favorite! Oatmeal is gooood.
Makes 5 Good-sized cookies, more than enough for 2 people.
Items Needed for Preparation:
- 1 cup of soaked oatmeal
- 3/4 cup of walnuts
- 1/2 cup of dates
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Step 1: Soak the oatmeal or cook it if you can't wait 1-2 days. Soaking it accomplishes the same thing without destroying all the enzymes and at least half of the other nutrients.
Step 2: Process the walnuts and the dates and mix them together real nice (I think forks are best for this). This is your yummy, healthy dough. No eggs, no butter, no milk. Just nuts and dried fruit.
Step 3: Mix in the oatmeal, raisins, and cinnamon and stir it up, little darling, stir it up. Form into cookie shapes with your hand or just eat it straight out of the bowl. Just like cookie dough! Except the whole thing is cookie dough!
