Raw Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

raw strawberry shortcake

A wonderful all natural raw strawberry dessert recipe thats easy on your tummy! Cooked desserts, especially those with eggs and milk, always end up feeling heavy in my stomach. After eating one of them I feel like a beached whale, and all I want to do is lie down and regret my unhealthy sweet tooth!

Save yourself the pain, this strawberry dessert recipe is not only healthy, but absolutely delicious! It will only take 10 min of your time so what are you waiting for? Experience the wonders of all natural delicious flavors!

Serves 3-5

Items Needed for Preparation:

  • Food Processor
  • Knife
  • Cereal bowl

Ingredients:

  • 20-30 Strawberries
  • 3 Handfuls of your favorite nuts or seeds
  • Handful of dates
  • 1 Tbsp of honey, (optional, dates are already a perfect sweetener)

Directions:

Pick out your favorite nuts or seeds (I like almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds) and put them into a food processor until they make a crumby powder. Then place in a cereal sized bowl to mix for later.

Pick out the seeds from the dates then shoot them through the food processor until it's a big tasty mush. Add the mushy dates and 1 tbsp of honey (if you want it extra decadent!) into the bowl of nuts.

Next, combine the the dates and nuts into the food processor to get that nice doughy form.

Cut the stems off of the strawberries and put a little less than half of them into the food processor to make a purée, cut the rest into bite sized pieces to stick on your shortcake.

Mix your strawberry chunks with your nut-date mix, pour over your strawberry sauce and voila! Ready for your sweet tooth to enjoy!

This raw strawberry shortcake is VERY rich in deliciousness, a little bit goes a long way!
